The first of our Eastern Region editions takes us along the old Great Eastern Mainline, recreating the old expresses such as the East Anglian, Boardsman and Norfolkman, behind a locomotive that was synonymous with this route.
Beginning our journey from London Liverpool Street, we tackle the steep climb of Bethnal Green Bank before gently climbing out of the capital along the 4 track Mainline to Shenfield. After this we continue north where we will be stretching our legs along the open countryside, speeding towards Colchester for our waterstop. After this we continue towards Ipswich, passing through Diss and on to our final destination at Norwich.
